Pumpkin Patch!

We went to a pumpkin patch on a Monday, since Mike is off on those days. Lexi loved it! They had lots of animals. She thought the moo-ing cows were awesome! :) She loved the train the most though. She got to ride it twice, because mommy is such a softie. She knows how to work me. Ha!!
She thought it was awesome that the cow was moo-ing at her! :)Found one!Emily opened her eyes long enough to see a few pumpkins.Checking out the big pumpkins!Riding the train w/Daddy.We may or may not have had a breakdown going back to the car. She wanted to ride the train all by herself. So... mommy took her back to she could. But she ended up not wanting to go by herself. So... I got my turn at riding with her! :)

a few more...

Just a few more pictures to enjoy.

Matching outfits!!

Lexi is growing up so fast. I knew she would seem older once Emily was born. I just didn't realize how sad it would make me. We love watching her be a big sister! She is such a sweet, sweet girl!!!

1st day home

It felt SO good to leave the hospital! I was ready to come home about a day after she was born. Mike & I both knew things would be stressful at home, but we were just ready to get started. Lexi was very excited to have Emily home. She said things like "Emily is out of you tummy" and "She gets to stay with us." The 1st morning of having Emily home Lexi said, "I'm so happy she is home."
Ready to get sister inside!
Not sure what to think now that she is home.
Our daughters!
Lexi was showing Emily the tag on her blanket. Lexi has to have her tag in her hand while sucking her thumb, so she felt it was important for Emily to know where her's was too!

Introducing...

Emily Elizabeth Grimes was born September 7th at 1:55pm. She weighed 8lbs 11oz and was 20.25inches long. She had some dark hair, which totally surprised me. Lexi basically had no hair. :) I had another c-section. We decided once we got to the hospital & they said it could take 24 hrs +, it would just be nice to get her out. Everything went great & recovery has been much easier this time around.
Right before leaving for the hospital.
Totally unaware of just how much life was about to change. :)Meeting sister for the 1st time.
Kisses!
Checking her out. Head to toe! :)
1st family picture of the 4 of us.
Holding sister for the 1st time. Such a sweet moment!
Ready to come home!!!
Lexi is so in love with her!! She loves to hold her & hold her hand. She can't seem to give her enough kisses. It's been so much fun watching her love her baby sister. Emily is just about perfect. The only thing that would be better is if she slept through the night. ;) I still can't believe that we have 2 kids. Are we old enough for this?!?? I love it though. The Lord has blessed us with these two beautiful daughters that we so do not deserve. But we'll keep them! :)
