What a month

Just like the past couple months, April was busy for the 3 of us! As you will see below, we were able to celebrate Easter with family! Then right after they left it was Tax Day. We were very excited about this because of the Tea Party that was going on in Franklin that evening. We got Lexi dressed warmly and put her sign in her car seat and headed out.

I don't mean to brag... but she had to be the cutest kid there! I think it's the hat. The moment I put it on her, I died laughing. Super cute! We realize she had no idea what was going on, but Mike & I feel a new responsiblity now. The government is destroying her future. Our poor child is in debt and she can't even crawl. Why should she (or we) have to pay for the dumb choices of politicans. We will do anything we can to help protect her future!

She really wanted to help me fold towels. :)

Lexi has finally realized she has a voice, and that it can be loud! She gets into these moods where she will just talk & talk to herself. It's really fun to listen to!

Getting in some "tummy time" on Daddy's tummy.

The next two pictures below show how Lexi likes to sleep. She starts w/her head at the far end of the bed and by morning, this is what we find. She has typically done a half circle, if not a little more. And her hands are always up at her face.

This is the yawning face. Too funny!
April has been a great month! Lexi is really starting to grow-up. Just here in the past week she has started reaching out & grabbing toys. She is holding her head up great & just loves talking and giggling. I don't think Mike & I realized just how awesome it was going to be to become parents. The love you feel for your child is totally indescribable! We often talk about the love we have for Lexi and how it can't even come close to the love Christ has for us. It honestly blows my mind because I know there will be days where we both will struggle with her. And to think that we daily rebel against the Lord and yet His love for us never changes. How undeserving we are! I pray that Mike & I will learn more every day what it means to lean on the Lord and draw our strength from Him.
